Pioneer of DNA Repairing Speaks at CUHK
In the evening of 26 September, the Shaw College Lecture Theatre was packed with audience who came to listen to the lecture on ‘Genome Modification by Natural and Artificial DNA Breaks’ by Prof. Maria Jasin, Shaw Laureate in Life Science and Medicine 2019. Professor Jasin gave a brief account of how her laboratory used artificial double-strand breaks to create genomic rearrangement which laid the foundation for all subsequent gene editing studies.
