Establishment of the Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Office

The University will establish a new office, Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Office (SRSDO), on 1 January 2021 to advise senior management on key areas of University Social Responsibility (USR). One of the new office’s core functions is to execute, evaluate and enhance the USR action initiatives outlined in the University’s Strategic Plan 2021–2025.

SRSDO will be formed by integrating the existing Campus Planning and Sustainability Office and the Office of CUHK Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change. The new office will be under the supervision of the Vice-President (Administration) and headed by Mrs. Cecilia Lam designated as director of the new office and the University’s Chief Sustainability Officer.
