The Integrative Medical Centre (IMC) is providing a tianjiu therapy this July and August. Working in accordance with the 24 solar terms of the lunar calendar, the therapy involves applying warm-natured herbal patches on certain acupoints during san fu tian, one of the hottest periods of the year. In regulating the meridian system and improving immunity, the therapy aims to cultivate the yang-energy during spring and summer and serve as early prevention of sickness in winter. The therapy is especially suited for those with signs of the cold syndrome like allergic rhinitis and asthma, and symptoms like stomach pain, diarrhea and dysmenorrhea.
