- Prof. Lam Kin-che, professor in the Department of Geography and Resource Management, has been appointed by the Secretary for the Environment as a member of the Appeal Board Panel under the Waste Disposal Ordinance for three years from 1 February 2013.
- Prof. Wong Po-keung, professor in the School of Life Sciences, has been re-appointed by the Secretary for the Environment as a member of the Appeal Board Panel under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance for three years from 1 February 2013.
- Prof. Japhet Sebastian Law, Director of Research in the Aviation Policy and Research Centre, has been appointed by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury as a member of the Disciplinary Panel A of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants for two years from 1 February 2013.
- Prof. Hung Leung-kim, chairman and professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, has been appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a panel member of the Human Organ Transplant Board for three years from 15 February 2013.
