Asian AIDS Consultation Conference

Delegates from 12 Asian countries attend the conference

The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care hosted a World Health Organization conference titled 'Technical Consultation on Size Estimation of Key Populations Most at Risk for HIV in Asian Countries' on 24 and 25 September. The conference was attended by 35 delegates from 12 Asian countries, as well as experts from the Family Health International 360; The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; the United States Agency for International Development; and UNAIDS. Latest developments were discussed, experience was shared, and recommendations were made in the meeting, to identify evidence gaps and technical assistance priorities required to strengthen HIV surveillance systems of participating countries.
