Antique Phoenix Exhibition

The opening ceremony of the exhibition 'China Unearthed: Soaring Phoenix, Rising Dragon' was held at the Art Museum of CUHK on 24 October. The exhibition traces 8,000 years of the phoenix's story and showcases some 20 phoenix and six dragon artifacts from Neolithic and Shang China, including the jade artifacts classified as national treasures from the tomb of Fu Hao, who was a queen of the Shang dynasty. Another is a recently discovered white pottery vessel with phoenix motifs, which has never been displayed in China or overseas. The exhibition runs until 2 March 2014.
