The welcoming party of the 2014 Sports Scholarship Scheme was held on 13 October at the University Sports Centre. It was officiated by Prof. Benjamin W. Wah, Provost. Under this scheme, 23 awardees were admitted to the University this year. One of them is Ms. Karen Chang who represented Hong Kong in the Incheon Asian Games (fencing) and won a bronze medal (women’s team). Over the years, 288 outstanding athletes in Hong Kong have landed a place at CUHK through this scheme.
