Frontiers in Early Drug Development in Oncology and Internal Medicine

The 19th Annual Scientific Symposium of the Hong Kong Cancer Institute, co-organized by Department of Clinical Oncology, Partner State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China, and the Phase I Clinical Trial Centre, was held from 22–23 November on the theme of ‘Frontiers in Early Drug Development in Oncology and Internal Medicine’. Featuring speakers from Canada, USA, Beijing, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, the meeting provided an excellent platform for regional and international Phase 1 researchers to share their valuable experience and new insights in early drug development for patients with cancer and other illnesses.

The Sister Institution relationship between M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and CUHK was renewed in a signing ceremony involving Prof. Gordon Mills (centre) of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; Prof. Fok Tai-fai (2nd left), Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; and Prof. Anthony Chan (2nd right), director of the Hong Kong Cancer Institute.
