She was listed in W ho's W ho in A m e ri can E du cation, 1963-64. COMINGS AND GOINGS △ Professor H .L . E lv in , D ire c to r o f the In s titu te o f E ducation, U n iv e rs ity o f Lo nd on , visited the U n iv e rs ity from 15th to 23rd December, unde r the sponsorship o f the In te r-U n iv e rs ity C o un cil fo r H ig h e r Education Overseas. In his capacity as M em b e r o f the A d viso ry Board o f the U n iv e rs ity 's School o f Education, Professor E lv in gave a p u b lic lecture on "E d u ca tio n and C u ltu ra l D iv e rs ity " at the C ity H a ll on 18th December. Besides ca llin g on the V ice -C hance llo r and v is itin g in s titu tio n s concerned, he had discussions w ith Senior G ove rnm en t O fficers and D r. the Hon. P .C . Woo, Chairm an o f the A d viso ry Board fo r the School o f E ducation o f the U n ive rsity. Professor E lv in visited U n ite d College on 21st December. He was m et by President T .C . Cheng, V ice-P resident S .K . Fang, Academ ic Registrar N .H . Y oung and the three Deans o f the Faculties o f A rts ’ Commerce and Social Science, and Science. A fte r a general exchange o f views w ith the College authorities, he was shown around the College campus. T h e next day, Professor E lv in , accompanied by M r. N .H . Young, visited the Yuen L o n g M id d le School and the South Sea T e x tile Factory at Tsuen Wan. △ D r. T .C . O u, President o f New Asia College, returned on 1st December after attending the in te r national conference on " T h e W o rld C risis in E d u ca tio n " held in W illiam s b u rg , V irg in ia , from 5th to 9th October. D r. Ou also visited in s titu tio n s o f higher learning in W ashington, D .C ,, New Y o rk and New Haven. On his re tu rn trip he went to T a ip e i fo r an operation. △ D r. C .C . L ia n g , fo rm e r Assistant Registrar o f the U n iv e rs ity , le ft fo r the U n ite d States w ith his fam ily on 15th December, to take up the V is itin g P ro fessorship o f Chinese Studies at St. John's U n ive rsity, Jamaica, N ew Y o rk . He had served the U n iv e rs ity since M a rch , 1964. △ M rs . E lizabeth K o , Assistant Registrar o f the U n iv e rs ity , le ft fo r C a lifo rn ia w ith her ch ildren on 10th December fo r three weeks' holiday, to spend Christmas w ith her fam ily. △ D r. U ve C h ristian Fischer arrived in H o ng K on g from G erm any on 27th December to assume d u ty as V is itin g L e c tu re r in German at U n ite d College. △ D r. Y .C . K on g , new ly appointed le ctu rer in B iology at Chung C h i College, arrived in H ong K on g from Brussels w ith his fam ily on 30th December. △ D r. M ich ae l W ei, Head o f the D e pa rtm ent o f Journalism o f N ew Asia College, returned from the P h ilip p ine s on 4 th December. D r. W e i attended the In te rn a tio n a l C omm unication Sem inar at the in vita tio n o f the Mass Comm unications Centre o f the U n iv e rs ity o f the P h ilip p ine s and U N E S C O . OBITUARY D r. S.C. Leung, m ember o f the Chung C h i Board o f Governors, passed away on 22nd D e cember, 1967 , at the age o f 79. D r. Leung was very active in p rom o tin g C h ristian education and you th w o rk. I t is a great loss to the local com m u n ity and C hung C h i. F riends o f the late D r. L e un g are setting up a D r. S.C. Leung m em orial scholarship in honour o f his valuable service. 6
