大學校董會報告 Report of the Council 63 In 2021–22, CUHKwill launch a Co-operative Education Programme which offers eight months of credited full-time paid jobs for students. Undergraduate students in their third and fourth years of study across all disciplines are eligible for this programme. It aims to offer students career opportunities by providing them with professional skills and industry networks through work experience. As part of the programme, students will have to take preparatory courses and experiential learning workshops before being matched with a job. The programme will enhance students’ employability, attract talent to CUHK and cultivate a meaningful industry-university partnership. To meet the challenges of tomorrow, CUHK will continue to develop innovative programmes for our students. As committed in the Planning Exercise Proposal 2022–25, CUHK will offer specially curated double major programmes, which are special combinations that will benefit top students, providing a depth of knowledge in two complementary disciplines in four years that will enhance their career prospects. The pairing of double major will be carefully considered, to sharpen the competitive edge of our graduates and prepare them especially for new career opportunities that are emerging in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Apart from the above, in order to attract top students in Hong Kong, the Mainland and abroad, and keep sight of emerging new industries that would fuel the growing knowledge economy, provide good jobs, and serve the changing needs of society, CUHK will launch several new integrated interdisciplinary programmes in 2022–25, including Learning Design and Technology, Computational Data Science, and Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship and Healthcare Management. CUHK is exploring new opportunities to develop academic and research collaboration with a number of institutions in Mainland China. For instance, CUHK and Fudan University have jointly established the CUHK-FDU Joint Research Centre in Life and Biomedical Sciences, which will focus on a range of research areas related to life sciences and biomedical sciences. It will carry out cross-regional and cross-disciplinary collaborations, striving to build a cutting-edge base and cultivate talent, as well as providing an 未來發展及展望 Future Development and Prospects 在2021至22年,中大將推出「在學.在 職計劃」,為學生提供為期八個月的全 職、有薪工作體驗。計劃開放予所有就讀 三年級或四年級的本科生申請,旨在透 過工作體驗,加強學生的專業技能,並擴 闊業界網絡。參與計劃的學生在完成職 前預備課程及體驗式學習工作坊後,將 由大學安排進行職位配對。計劃將有效 提升學生的就業競爭力,為大學吸納人 才,並與業界建立有意義的夥伴關係。 大學將繼續為學生開設嶄新課程,幫助 他們迎接未來挑戰。正如2022至25年 《學術規劃建議》所承諾,大學將推出 精心設計的雙主修課程,獨特地整合兩 門學科,讓大學菁英於四年修業期內深 入地認識兩門相輔相成的專業,開創良 好的就業前景。雙主修課程中的學科均 經過仔細配對,期望為畢業生創造獨特 優勢,尤其為他們把握在大灣區發展事 業的機遇打好基礎。 此外,為了吸納香港、內地及海外的優 秀學生,支援推動知識型經濟增長的新 興行業,創造良好就業機會,以滿足社會 日新月異的需求,大學將於2022至25年 推出數個嶄新的跨學科綜合課程,包括 學習設計與科技、計算數據科學和生物 科技、企業與醫療管理。 大學亦積極發掘與多家內地高等院校合 作推動學術及研究發展的機會。例如,中 大與復旦大學共同成立「香港中文大學─ 復旦大學生命科學醫學聯合研究中心」, 集中研究生命科學及生物醫學,促進跨地 區及跨學科協作,建構頂尖的科研基地,
