26 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2021–2022 可持續發展教育 Sustainability education CUHK is pleased to be a founding partner of Future17, a new multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary programme initiated by the University of Exeter and Quacquarelli Symonds Limited to give students from CUHK and across the world the opportunity to work together towards the advancement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and develop solutions for tackling some of the grand challenges confronting humanity. Founded by a consortium of four universities from four continents, Future17 began in the second term of 2021-22, with 120 student participants in its inaugural cohort. At CUHK, 25 students and 10 academic mentors took part in the programme, which introduced students to the SDGs and the design thinking needed to tackle sustainability challenges. In consultation with industry and academic mentors, students were assigned to work with their international counterparts on projects to create innovative solutions for real-world issues associated with one or more of the 17 SDGs. 中大有幸成為由英國埃克塞特大學與 Quacquarelli Symonds Limited聯合發起 的跨院校、跨領域「Future17可持續發展目 標挑戰計劃 」策動成員之一，促進中大學生 與海外學生合作，實踐聯合國倡議的十七項 可持續發展目標（SDG），協助人類面對威 脅全球的嚴峻挑戰。 Future17由位於四大洲的四所高等院校主 辦，先導計劃於2021-22學年第二學期順利 啟動，招募全球約一百二十名學生參與。中 大共有二十五名學生及十名導師參與。計劃 讓學生了解可持續發展目標，並鼓勵他們以 創新思維應對各種挑戰。學生亦組成跨校團 隊，在專家學者及導師的指導下，就與SDG 相關的真實社會問題構思創新的解決方案。
