44 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2021–2022 培育年輕創業人才 Stepping up our support for young entrepreneurs CUHK distinguishes itself as a breeding ground for successful entrepreneurs, who make important contributions to enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness as an innovation and technology hub. To build a favourable ecosystem for the pursuit of entrepreneurial opportunities within and outside campus, CUHK is committed to forging partnerships across the country. The University signed a Memorandumof Understanding (MOU) with Foshan Shunde Office of the Leading Group for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Shunde Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in January 2022. The agreement marked the establishment of the GBA Innovation Cooperation Centre in the He Innovation Space in Shunde District, helping to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with diverse opportunities. The Make a Dash Funding Scheme was rolled out to support youth entrepreneurship in the GBA. Sponsored by the We Venture programme initiated by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Fund Commission's Funding Scheme for Youth Entrepreneurship in the GBA, the Scheme provides CUHK students, faculty members and alumni with start-up capital for their business ventures in the GBA. Comprehensive incubation support and sustainable counselling services are also available for the funded teams. The year 2021-22 also saw CUHK members excel in entrepreneurial competitions. Two CUHK-nurtured start- ups, EggLogics and Beth Bioinformatics, finished in the top 10 of the 5th Start-up Express organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. CUHK undergraduate teams also clinched the Third and Merit Prizes at the 7th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Entrepreneurial Proposal and Start-up Group). 中大培育不少成功企業家，成為提升香港競爭 力及推動本港發展成創科之都的主要動力。 大學亦致力加強與內地機構合作，鼓勵成員在 校園內外把握創業機會。2022年1月，中大與 佛 山市順德區推進粵港澳大灣區建設領導小組 辦公室和順德區創新創業公益基金會簽署合 作備忘錄 ，協議於順德「和創空間」內成立創 新合作中心，為大灣區有志創業之士創造多元 發展機會。 本年度推出之 「 Make a Dash 創業計劃」 由民 政事務局發起之「青創同行」計劃及青年發展 事務委員會之「粵港澳大灣區青年創業資助計 劃」資助，為有意在大灣區創業的中大本科生、 研究生、校友及青年學者提供創業啟動金，實 踐商業大計。獲資助團隊更可受惠於計劃之全 面孵化服務及可持續的創業輔導和培訓。 中大成員於各類型企業大賽屢創佳績。兩家由 中大成員創辦的初創公司——優殖有限公司及 貝思生物科技有限公司，在香港貿易發展局舉 辦之 「第五屆創業快綫」 中獲選為十大優勝初 創。中大本科生團隊亦在 「第七屆香港大學生 創新及創業大賽」 中勇奪創業計劃類別優異獎 及初創企業類別三等獎及優異獎。 優殖團隊成員（左起）：陳耀樑教授、李天立教授、陳漢輝教授及李天照教授 The EggLogics team (from left): Professor David Chan Yiu-leung, Professor Lee Tin-lap, Professor Chan Hon-fai, and Professor Li Tin-chiu 貝思生物創辦人王海天教授（後排右三）及團隊成員 Professor Maggie Wang Haitian, founder of Beth Bioinformatics (3 rd from right, back row) and her teammembers
