68 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2021–2022 財務狀況 Financial Position The University’s net assets increased by $285 million or 1.1% to $26.7 billion as at 30 June 2022. Total cash and deposits with banks attained an overall increase of $257 million or 1.6% from $15.8 billion to $16.1 billion as at 30 June 2022, awaiting better investment opportunities. Total investments reported a net increase by $517 million or 5.1%. Planned new investments of $0.4 billion were made in equity funds, technology funds and healthcare funds. Additional funds of about $0.9 billion were placed in HK dollar bonds, US dollar bonds and RMB bonds to secure stable interest income. Nevertheless, investment markets were overwhelmed with bearish sentiment due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the fact that the US federal fund rate hike was faster and higher than expected. As a result, the investment portfolio had a net realised and unrealised revaluation as well as exchange loss of $884 million for the year. The net book value of fixed assets slightly decreased by $5 million or 0.1% to $5.96 billion as at 30 June 2022, reflecting the net movement from the decrease in capital funds of $66 million and from the increase in deferred capital funds of $61 million. Taking into account the operating results achieved and inter-fund transfer for the 2021-22 financial year, the GDRF increased by $106 million to $2.28 billion, the UGC Matching Grants Fund reduced to $2.06 billion, and the Restricted Funds climbed to $22.35 billion, with an aggregate total of $26.69 billion to support the University’s long-range development in meeting its goals and missions. 截至2022年6月30日，大學總資產淨值增加 二億八千五百萬元，或百分之一點一至二百六 十七億元。現金及銀行存款總額增長二億五 千七百萬元或百分之一點六，從期初一百五十 八億元增至期末一百六十一億元，為新投資 機會作好準備。總投資值淨增加五億一千七 百萬元或百分之五點一，當中包括已承諾的 四億元新的股票基金、科技基金及醫療保健 基金投資項目。另外約九億元投放在港元、 美元和人民幣債劵，以確保有穩定的利息收 入。然而，烏克蘭戰事持續，加上美國聯儲局 的加息步伐和幅度比市場預期更為進取，令 投資市場氣氛轉差，結果令大學的投資組合 錄得已變現及未變現之投資重估收益連同匯 兌收益虧損八億八千四百萬元。截至2022年 6月30日，大學的固定資產賬面淨值輕微減 少五百萬元，或百分之零點一至五十九億六千 萬元，該金額分別反映資產基金減少六千六 百萬元及遞延資產基金增加六千一百萬元。 總結2021-22財政年度營運表現及基金之間 轉賬情況，一般及發展儲備基金上升一億零 六百萬元至二十二億八千萬元，教資會配對 補助基金下降至二十億六千萬元，而專用基 金上升至二百二十三億五千萬元，基金總額 達二百六十六億九千萬元，用以支持大學的 長遠發展，達成各項策略目標和使命。
