2 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2022–2023 校長前言 Foreword by the Vice-Chancellor and President It is my great pleasure to present to you the 2022-2023 Annual Report of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The 2022-23 academic year signalled the end of COVID-19 as a public health emergency, and the full resumption of exchange activities between Hong Kong and mainland China as well as the rest of the world. For a city which thrives on external links like ours, the effect of the pandemic was particularly harsh. Perseverance and patience enabled us to get through the toughest days of the last three years. I would like to acknowledge all members of the CUHK community for their commitment, dedication and professionalism, which allowed us to stay close together to navigate this difficult time and continue our pursuit of excellence with purpose and responsibility. 感謝您閱覽2022至2023年度之《香港 中文大學年報》。 2022-23學年，我們走出疫情陰霾，見證 香港與內地及世界其他地區全面恢復各 種交流活動及聯繫。長久以來，香港的 蓬勃發展有賴與內地及海外地區維持緊 密聯繫，因此，疫情對我們的打擊尤其 沉重。這三年來，憑着堅忍和毅力，我 們一起度過了最艱難的日子。我要感謝 全體大學成員的無私奉獻，你們默默耕 耘，讓中大仝人上下一心，團結一致，共 同闖過難關，使大學繼續昂首闊步，走 向「力臻卓越，任重志遠」的願景。
