Sharing CUHK’s vision of promoting work-integrated learning, Mr Paul MF Cheng, former Council Member and Honorary Fellow (2006) of the University, championed a fundraising campaign for Co-op@CUHK and successfully invited his circle of patrons to raise close to HK$10 million to set up a Seed Fund to support students’ participation in placement programmes in the mainland and field trips to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and other Asian regions to gain valuable immersive experience. The Programme was also supported by Lee Hysan Foundation and CUHK Convocation. 中大全校性校企合作教育計劃──「在學.在職計劃」於前年正 式展開,推行首屆取得美滿成果。首批學員參加了多項職前培訓 和技能提升活動,並順利完成帶學分的全職有薪實習,提升專業 技能和就職能力。參與企業亦透過計劃發掘優秀青年,為機構注 入動力。第二屆「在學.在職計劃」於2022-23年開始,吸引過百 家企業夥伴參加,提供超過600個實習機會,讓青年在複雜多變 的社會環境中一展所長。 The university-wide work-integrated education initiative Co- operative Education Programme (Co-op@CUHK) celebrated the remarkable achievements of its inaugural cohort in 2022- 23. Students showed significant improvement in professional competencies and career readiness thanks to preparatory courses, capacity-building activities and full-time, full-pay, full- credit work placements. The Programme also helped corporate partners from a diverse range of industries identify promising talents who are suited to their organisations. The second cohort, commencing in 2022-23, has attracted more than 100 corporate partners, who have pledged to offer over 600 placement opportunities to nurture young talents for an ever-evolving society.
