Ho Research Centre for Infectious Diseases 洪克協痛症研究所及專科門診 Peter Hung Pain Research Institute and Peter Hung Pain Specialist Clinic The S.H. Ho Research Centre for Infectious Diseases, which specialises in research on hot topics including COVID-19, influenza, emerging respiratory infections, HIV and Mpox, and builds capacity to improve public health practices in order to prevent and control infectious diseases in Hong Kong, was inaugurated on 27 June 2023. The Centre will serve as a hub for CUHK’s researchers to collaborate with clinicians and health professionals locally and internationally, and develop innovative solutions to some of the most pressing challenges from infectious diseases. Entrusted by the H H Hung Charitable Foundation, CUHK established the Peter Hung Pain Research Institute and Peter Hung Pain Specialist Clinic, with the aim of raising awareness of pain as a health problem across all walks of life, strengthening support and care for pain patients, and further enhancing research and therapeutic development for pain. 何善衡傳染病研究中心於2023年6月27日 舉行成立典禮，該中心專注於流行傳染病研 究，包括新冠肺炎、流感、新發呼吸道感染、 愛滋病病毒和猴痘，並致力建設及改善公共 衞生實踐，提升本港傳染病防控能力。中心 將推動中大研究人員與本地及國際臨床醫生 和公共衞生專業人員的合作，共同開發創新 方案，應對最迫切的傳染病挑戰。 洪克協慈善基金慷慨捐助中大醫學院成立 洪克協痛症研究所及洪克協痛症專科門診， 喚起社會對痛症的認知，加強對痛症患者的 支持和照顧，進一步提升痛症的研究及發展。
