56 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2022–2023 保育珊瑚 Reviving Our Corals 中大與世界自然基金會香港分會合作開展珊瑚 修復計劃。 CUHK and WWF-Hong Kong collaborate to launch a coral restoration project. 中大與世界自然基金會香港分會簽署合作備忘錄，合作開展 「珊海無盡」行動，共同修復香港珊瑚群落，對抗受城市發展 和污染等因素對海洋生境造成之破壞，並提升大眾對珊瑚修 復的認識。雙方將合作拯救至少 1,000 塊珊瑚碎塊，將牠們 育養後放回海中，再由中大研究團隊密切監察，展示如何以自 然為本的方案解決生物多樣性消失和氣候變化問題。 CUHK and WWF-Hong Kong signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a partnership to restore Hong Kong’s coral communities, combating threats like urban development and pollution. The “Reviving Our Corals” initiative aims to raise awareness and restore coral habitats. The partnership involves rescuing, nurturing and monitoring at least 1,000 coral fragments, highlighting the significance of nature-based solutions in addressing biodiversity loss and climate change.
