68 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2022–2023 財務狀況 Financial Position The University’s net assets increased by $1,841 million or 6.9% to $28.5 billion as at 30 June 2023. Total cash and deposits with banks attained an overall increase of $600 million or 3.7% from $16.1 billion to $16.7 billion as at 30 June 2023, awaiting deployment to investment opportunities already identified by the Investment Sub-Committee. Total investments reported a substantial net increase of $844 million or 7.9% as a result of the recovery of major investment markets, acquisition of additional fixed income securities and fund injections into investment portfolios managed by external fund managers during the year. Other than investment in financial instruments, a further capital injection of $361 million was made to CUHK Medical Centre Limited through CUHK Health Limited, and a new capital injection of $50 million was made to CUHK Innovation Limited, a subsidiary newly set up for investing in innovative business and impact ventures related to technology innovation of the University. The net book value of fixed assets increased by $240 million or 4.0% to $6.20 billion as at 30 June 2023, reflecting the increase in deferred capital funds and capital funds of $201 million and $39 million respectively. Taking into account the operating results achieved and inter-fund transfer for the 2022-23 financial year, the GDRF increased by $226 million to $2.51 billion, the UGC Matching Grants Fund decreased to $2.04 billion, and the Restricted Funds significantly improved to $23.98 billion, with an aggregate total of $28.53 billion to support the University’s long-range development in meeting its vision and mission. 截至2023年6月30日，大學總資產淨值增加 十八億四千一百萬元，或百分之六點九至二 百八十五億元。截至2023年6月30日，現金及 銀行存款整體增長六億元或百分之三點七， 從期初一百六十一億元增至期末一百六十七 億元，為大學投資小組委員會已落實的投資 項目作準備。由於主要投資市場復甦，大學 於期間在定息證券及由獨立投資經理負責 管理的投資組合上增加投資，以致總投資值 錄得淨增長八億四千四百萬元或百分之七點 九。大學除投資金融工具外，今年再透過香 港中文大學醫療有限公司向香港中文大學醫 學中心有限公司注資三億六千一百萬元，以 及向新成立的附屬公司——中大創新有限公 司注資五千萬元；中大創新有限公司主要業 務為投資予和大學科創相關的創新產業及具 影響力的初創公司。 截至2023年6月30日，大學的固定資產賬面 淨值增加二億四千萬元，或百分之四至六十 二億元，分別反映遞延資產基金中的二億一 百萬元及資產基金中的三千九百萬元增幅。 總結2022-23財政年度的營運表現及基金之 間的轉賬情況，一般及發展儲備基金上升二 億二千六百萬元至二十五億一千萬元，教資會 配對補助基金減少至二十億四千萬元，而專 用基金顯著上升至二百三十九億八千萬元，基 金總額達二百八十五億三千萬元，用以支持大 學的長遠發展，從而實踐各項願景和使命。
