校董會主席序言 Foreword by Council Chairman 3 穿戴的醫療裝置、網絡編碼在新一代網 絡的應用、用於軟骨再生治療的工程骨軟 骨組織及三維視覺驅動的機械人等，致力 以研究改變世界。大學本年度在研究方面 的另一亮點是衞星研發，「香港青年科創 號」衞星已順利發射進入太空軌道，收集 香港及大灣區的環境和地理數據。我們的 研究人員將心血轉化為創新產品，造福人 類，我們深感驕傲。 在人文學科方面，中大在研究資助局「人 文學及社會科學傑出學者計劃」中獲得的 撥款金額，為全港院校中最高。其中三項 獲資助的項目包括華人社會中的預設照 顧計劃、哲學與人工智能，以及香港鄉村 文化。 2023 年 9 月，大學成立中大創新有限公司， 旨在投資中大的創新研究或中大成立的 初創公司。我們致力建立完整的創新生態 圈，有利於把創科研究成果商品化，造福 社會。 《 2023 年香港中文大學（修訂）條例草 案》獲立法會通過，於 2023 年 11 月 10 日刊 憲起生效，是提升大學管治的漫長旅程的 重要一步，也是大學史上另一里程碑。條 例改善大學管治體系，使其更有效向社會 負責。我們感謝所有立法會議員對校董會 以至大學的支持、建議及貢獻。 of inventions included surgical robots, silicon photonic chips, “space” soya beans, wearable medical sensors, next-generation networks, engineered osteochondral tissue and 3D vision-driven robots. Another highlight of the year was the launch of the “Hong Kong Youth Scientific Innovation” satellite into space, which is now collecting environmental and geographical data in the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. We are proud to witness our scholars productising innovations to benefit society and mankind. On the humanities, CUHK also secured the highest funding amounts from the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme of the Research Grants Council. The financial support will go towards three projects focusing on advance care planning in Chinese communities, philosophical approaches and artificial intelligence, and the rural culture of Hong Kong. In September 2023, the University launched CUHK Innovation Limited to invest in businesses related to its innovations and start- ups. The company completes the innovation ecosystem formed within our community — a framework that encompasses the entire journey from research to innovation to entrepreneurial enterprise. The passage of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Amendment) Bill 2023 by the Legislative Council on 10 November 2023 was another milestone in the University’s history. It was an important step in the long journey of improving the governance of the University and raising its accountability to the community.
