66 本校亦於本年度獲政府批准，開展六項新建築工程；又應大學及理工教育資助委員 會要求，於校內進行大規模的用地需求評估。委員會將根據本港各大專院校的評估資 料，釐定未來場地分配的標準。 擴建之餘，本校更著手進行環境調控和改善計劃，其中包括逐步轉用不損臭氧層的 製冷劑設備，推廣廢料回收再造，鼓勵節約能源，改善排污系統，加強管制噪音及空氣 污染，以及保護野生動植物生態。此外，鑑於未來數年九廣鐵路將更改部分路軌至白石 角，政府又會在該處設立堆塡區和進行吐露港公路擴建工程，大學決定密切監察該等工 程的影響，以免校園東北面受到太大滋擾。本校將竭力確保大學同人能繼總享用寧靜而 優美的校園環境。 During the year a host of other new development projects obtained government approval to proceed and the University responded to the UPGC's request to conduct a review of its space requirements and accommodation needs.
