T he m i x of p r o g r ammes is constantly r e v i ewed to ensure that resources are p u t to the best use a nd c ommu n i ty needs are met. W i t h regard to changing demands a n d the i n c r e a s i ng a v a i l a b i l i ty o f c o m p a r a b le p r o g r a mm es i n o t h er l o c al i n s t i t u t i o n s, t he University s u s p e n d ed the intake to some part-time undergraduate p r o g r ammes d u r i ng the year. 改善科目及教學質素 I m p r o v e m e n t o f Co u r s es a n d T e a c h i ng 校方於去年度開始全面實施科目評核,以問卷方式收集各系學生對不同科目的意見。 本年經廣泛徵詢不同層面教學人員的意見及檢討各學院之執行情況後,校方決定科目評核 工作應繼續交由各學院自行統籌。同時,教務會亦通過了一套執行科目評核之指引,以統 一評審方法。 此外,教務會又採納了教師審議委員會的建議,自一九九五至九六年度起,以科目評 核結果作爲評審教師的另一個客觀指標。 本校運用大學教育資助委員會之特別撥款,於九五年二月成立教學發展組,旨在引發 教師對教學質素的關注,並協助他們獲取所需的教學技巧、設施及資源,以發揮其教學潛 能。 T he p o l i cy of c o n d u c t i ng c omp u l s o ry course evaluation t h r o u gh student surveys, a d o p t ed since 1993-94, was r e v i ewe d.
