資訊服務 I n f o r ma t i on Service s 校園資訊系統發揮更大的訊息發布功能。多個學術及行政部門將訊息經校園資訊系統發 放，各地人士可經由國際網絡查閲，該等資料包括本校的政策、組織、刊物和科研消息。 The trend to disseminate University information by electronic means continued to grow. Many academic and administrative departments input different kinds of information into the Campus-wide I n f o rma t i on System, wh i c h n ow contains University policies, publications, organization information, and research news. Such information is n ow accessible to all via the Internet. 行政系統 Adm i n i s t r a t i v e App l i ca t i ons 大學行政管理系統亦有一番新景象。支援新撥款模式的電腦系統已擴展至非教學部門， 而全新的會計財務系統剛於一九九六年七月投入服務，以提髙會計效率。部分與學生有關的 資料業已通過電子郵遞及萬維網傳送，既節省紙張，又加快傳遞速度。電腦打印統一收費系 統擴展至書院和學系電腦室，減輕徵收小額費用的行政負擔。資訊科技服務處正籌劃一個大 型行政資料數據庫，方便查閲和分析各類資料。 University administrative applications were also overhauled in 1995—96. The system to support the New Funding Model was extended to non-teaching departments, an d an SAP Accounting System was implemented i n July 1996 to provide more streamlined accounting procedures and h i gh ly structured account codes. To cut d own on paper consumption and speed u p information dissemination, computer ou t put on selected student-related information is n ow distributed through e-mail and the World-wide Web. A cross-college and department printer-usage charging system was also launched to facilitate small-sum payments.
