改進行政管理 Administration Improvements 在大學行政管理方面,校方於九七年初開始作檢討,以期透過重整工作流程和資源調配,提高校 內各部門的效率,組成一支機動靈活及更具成本效益的行政隊伍,面對資源波動時能應付裕如。 同期,內部審計調查並無間斷,校方又進一步改良單項預算撥款的運作模式,把財務權責下放予 學院和學系。學院院長和系主任的職責也於年內重新仔細訂定,校方並鼓勵各部門制定工作表現 指標和服務承諾。 With regard t o University administration, a university-wide review o n management efficiency wa s launched in early 1997. The exercise aims at increasing th e efficiency and productivity o f University units through th e reengineering o f procedures an d processes an d resource deployment, and will eventually produce a highly streamlined an d cost-effective administration that ca n operate with greater flexibility in th e face o f resource fluctuations. Complementing such efforts were th e on-going internal auditing processes an d the continuous refinement o f th e University's ne w funding methodology,which decentralizes financial responsibilities t o individual faculties an d departments.
