教職員培訓及發展 為鼓勵員工進修,以配合不斷改變的工作需要和締造更佳的晉 升機會,本校一如既往十分重視敎職員的培訓及發展。是年各項 培訓及發展計劃概況如下: o 敎職員進修計劃:五名敎師及行政人員獲校方和校外基金給 予獎助學金或特別假期,在本地或海外專上院校進修、受訓 或開展研究工作。 o 暑期海外硏究工作特別補助金:校方撥出七十七萬港元,資 助三十一項計劃,供敎師於一九九九年夏季往海外從事硏 究。 o 會議補助金:三百二十一人獲校方津貼,參加本地及海外的 學術或專業會議。 o 進修津貼:各學系及行政部門均獲分配員工培訓及發展經 費,以津貼僱員參加硏討會、工作坊及培訓課程,提高工作 技能和知識。 o 校內培訓計劃:人事處為十五名新聘行政人員舉辦行政人 員導向課程,又為一百三十九名新聘文職、技術及專業人員 舉辦入職輔導課程;電算機服務處亦為九百八十六名敎職 員提供電腦應用訓練;而敎學發展組則繼續舉辦迎新講座, 協助三十六名新聘敎師了解本校的敎硏資源和敎學文化。 校方又積極籌劃及舉辦僱員培訓及進修活動,除重申及加強僱 員培訓政策外,更成立員工培訓及發展委員會以統籌校內培訓及 進修事宜,並在人事處設立員工培訓及發展組,以統籌及加 強培訓與進修活動。 s t a f f t r a i n i n g a n d d e v e l o p m e n t It has always been the University's objective t o encourage staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills in order to cope better with changing job requirements and improve career prospects. On this premise the University continued to provide a wide range of training and development opportunities for staff members in 1998-99, including: o Staff development programmes and grants : Five teaching and administrative staff member s received support from the University and external sources in th e form of scholarships, fellowships, special grants, or training leave to further their studies, training, and research at local and overseas institutions of higher learning. o Special grants for conducting research abroad during summer: Grants amounting to HK$770,000 were approved by the University for 31 applications from teachers to carry out quality research outside Hong Kong in the summer of 1999. o Conference grants : Financial assistance was given to 321 successful applicants to attend academic and professional conferences in Hong Kong and overseas. o Reimbursement of training and development expenses: Departments and units were allocated their ow n staff training budgets. Reimbursements were made from these budgets to successful applicants attending seminars, workshops and training courses for training and development purposes. o Internal training programmes: Fifteen newly-recruited executive and administrative staff attended an Executive Orientation Programme organized by the Personnel Office, 139 new clerical, technical and professional staff took part in fiv e Staff Induction Programmes, 986 staff members participated in the trainin g courses offered by the Computer Services Centre, while 36 new teacher s took part in the orientation programmes run by the Teaching Development Unit. 教職員Staff 56
