教學輔助設施 81 ACADEMI C SUPPOR T FACILITIE S 網上敎學平台工作坊 A workshop demonstrating the web-based teaching platform 組織重整 校方於二零零零年四月成立資訊科技政策委員會，以及兩個分 掌敎學科研和行政管理的資訊科技委員會，以檢射、釐定和 推行資訊科技政策，加強電腦中心與用戶的雙向溝通，並引進 資訊科技來輔助敎學、研究和行政。 二零零零年七月，電算機服務處和資訊科技服務處重組為新的 資訊科技服務處，以更有效地使用人力和設備等資源，進一 步提高服務素質和效率。 IT Governance and a New Information Technology Services Centre I n A p r i l 2000, the Un i v e r s i t y established an I T Policy Committee, an Academic I T Steering Comm i t t e e and an A dm i n i s t r a t i on I T Steering Comm i t t ee to review, formulate, and implement I T policies and plans, to strengthen the c ommu n i c a t i on between the computer centre and the user c ommu n i t y, and to bring together n ew ideas f or mo re effective deployment of I T f or teaching, learning, research, and administration. The f o r mer C omp u t er Services Centre and I n f o r ma t i on Technolog y Service U n i t were also re-organized i n J u ly 2000 i n to the n ew I n f o r ma t i on Technology Services Centre to facilitate better ma n p ower an d resource sharing and to i mp r o ve service quality and efficiency.
