商 科 生 參 與 「 擦 亮 香 港 大 行 動 」 ，協 助 港人 重 建 信心 ，促 進 香 港 經 濟 復 蘇 。 Business students at the BrightenHK Campaign helping to rebuild confidence in Hong Kong and its economic recovery 畢業生 二零零二至二零零三年度共有五千六百四十九名 學生完成學業，其中二千八百一十七名為本科 生，九百一十四名為硏究院文憑課程學生，一千 九百一十八名為硏究院高級學位課程學生。自一 九六六年至今，本校畢業生人數已累積至八萬一 千三百四十四人。 學生活動 中大學生會、各成員書院學生會，以及一百多個 院會、系會及屬會，於二零零二至二零零三年度 舉辦了許多課外活動，包括文娛康樂節目、體育 活動和社會服務。透過參與這些活動，學生可培 養領導和組織能力，增強自信，使校園生活更為 充實。 中大辯論隊連續第三年贏得「兩大辯論比賽」總冠 軍。普通話隊另奪二零零二年普通話大專辯論賽 亞軍，隊長汪洋更獲得最佳辯手獎。 獎學金及經濟援助 今年發給學生的獎學金及經濟援助總金額高達三 千九百五十萬港元，其中二千五百九十九萬港元 由學生事務處分發，其餘的則由四所成員書院分 發。 Graduates A total of 5,649 students completed their studies in 2002-3, including 2,817 first degree students, 914 postgraduate diploma students, and 1,918 higher degree students. This brought the total cumulative number of graduates since 1966 to 81,344. Student Activities During 2002-3, a wide range of extracurricular activities were organized through the University student union, the four college student unions, over 100 faculty and departmental societies, and other student affiliated clubs. These activities were instrumental in enhancing students' intellectual growth, strengthening their self-esteem, and enriching campus life. Students performed well in various activities and competitions. The year 2002-3 was particularly fruitful for the University Debating Teams, who won the overall championship in the Intervarsity Debating Contest 2003. In addition, the putonghua team was the first runner-up in the Tertiary Institution Debating Competition 2002, in which Mr. Wong Yeung also won the 'best debater' title. Scholarships and Financial Assistance During the period under review, the total amount given out in the form of scholarships and financial assistance for students was HK$39.50 million, of which HK$25.99 million was administered by the Office of Student Affairs and the rest by the four colleges. 7 8 香 港 中 文 大 學 年報 CUHK Annual Report 2002-2003
