Research projects in the Faculties of Science, Engineering, and Medicine have been benefitting from the Sun Fire 6800 computing server and Internet2 connection. Extended Networking Service and New Electronic Help Desk Two Gigabit Ethernet links were established between the University and the Hong Kong Science Park. The links facilitate collaborative research projects and joint programmes such as video conferences and broadcasts between the University and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Park's tenants/incubation companies.
