Students performed well in various activities and competitions. The University debating teams won the overall championship in the Intervarsity Debating Contest 2006 while the CU Rowing Team was the overall champion of the 12th Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championship, and the overall first runner-up in the 6th Hong Kong Universities Indoor Rowing Championship in 2005.
