20 校長劉遵義教授年內多次率團出訪世界知 名院校，推廣中大研究強項、加強聯盟、促 進協作。外訪團曾遠赴瑞士蘇黎世聯邦理 工學院，續訂備忘錄及交換生計劃，加強 兩校學術研究的協作；又與英國牛津大學 續簽備忘錄，落實兩校在教學及全球衞生 研究的協作；復出訪丹麥哥本哈根大學及 英國劍橋大學。 中大與多間外地院校簽訂了六十多份備 忘錄，當中四十份為新訂，部分為： •日本一橋大學 — 工商管理碩士生交換 計劃 •英國卡迪夫大學 — 社區及家庭醫學 研究 •英國倫敦大學 — 藥劑學研究 •英國牛津大學 — 公共衞生研究 •美國布朗大學 — 本科生交換計劃 •美國喬治梅森大學 — 太空及地球信息 科學研究 •美國德克薩斯大學 — 癌症研究 •美國聖母院大學 — 本科生交換計劃 •墨爾本大學、北京大學 — 精神科學 （三邊研究及培訓協作） 兩岸學術交流 二零零七至零八年度，中大與內地的學術 聯繫大有進展，與內地合作夥伴成立了多 個研究單位，包括： •中國科學院深圳先進技術研究院生物 醫學與健康工程研究所 •香港中文大學與浙江大學先進光子學 聯合研究實驗室 •中國科學院昆明植物研究所—香港中 文大學藥用植物化學與植物資源聯合 實驗室 •中國科學院昆明動物研究所—香港中 文大學生物資源與疾病分子機理聯合 實驗室 Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence J. Lau led a number of delegations to key institutions around the world, promoting CUHK’s strengths, fortifying alliances and cultivating collaborations. The delegations visited the University of Copenhagen, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford. At ETH Zurich, two renewal memoranda were inked to affirm the wish to continue a successful student exchange arrangement and to deepen cooperation in academic research. At the University of Oxford, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to confirm institutional support for joint efforts in teaching and research on global health issues. Some 60 memoranda of understanding on cooperation with international institutions were signed during the year. Forty of these were for new partnerships and programmes. Some of them were: • Hitotsubashi University (Japan) — MBA student exchange • Cardiff University (UK) — Community and family medicine research • University of London (UK) — Pharmacy research • University of Oxford (UK) — Public health research • Brown University (US) — Undergraduate student exchange • George Mason University (US) — Space and earth information science research • University of Texas (US) — Cancer research • University of Notre Dame (US) — Undergraduate student exchange • University of Melbourne, Peking University — Trilateral collaboration in research and training in psychiatry Links with Mainland China and Taiwan CUHK developed far-reaching linkage with the mainland in 2007–08 and joined hands with mainland partners to set up research units including: • The Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences • The Joint Centre for Advanced Photonics Research of CUHK and Zhejiang University • The Joint Laboratory on Phytochemistry of Medicinal Plants and Plant Resources Between Chinese Academy of Sciences–Kunming Institute of Botany and CUHK • Chinese Academy of Sciences–Kunming Institute of Zoology/CUHK Joint Laboratory of Bioresources and Molecular Research in Common Diseases 劉遵義校長（前排右）率團出訪哥本哈根大學 Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence J.
