74 In 2007–08, good progress was made in the University’s preparation for long-term development. The applications for land extension in Area 39, a 5.49-hectare piece of land in the northern part of the campus, and the formulation of the Campus Master Plan (CMP) proceeded smoothly. The implementation of various 3+3+4 capital projects were in full swing. And the University continued to enforce new measures and run environmental education programmes to build a greener community. Land Application for Area 39 The requisition of Area 39 was being processed by the relevant government departments. Villagers and neighbourhood residents were widely consulted through the Tai Po District Office under the Home Affairs Department.
