19 學 術 發 展 Academic Development 新設課程 為配合社會對人才瞬息萬變的需求，香港 中文大學的課程不斷推陳出新。二零零八 至零九年度，中大增設兩項本科副修課 程、兩項同期結業雙學位課程、兩項雙學 位課程選擇及九項研究院課程，茲列如 下： 本科課程 • 文學士（中國語言及文學）及教育學士 （中國語文教育）同期結業雙學位課程 • 文學士（英國語文研究）及教育學士 （英國語文教育）同期結業雙學位課程 • 法學士—社會科學學士（社會學）雙學 位課程選擇 • 社會科學學士（社會學）—法律博士雙 學位課程選擇 • 酒店及旅遊管理學副修課程 • 日本文化及日語副修課程 研究院課程 • 生物化學（醫學院）哲學博士課程 • 法學雙碩士課程（與 American University Washington College of Law合辦） New Programmes of Study Responding to the needs of a changing society, CUHK introduced two undergraduate minor programmes, two co- terminal double degree programmes, two double degree options and nine postgraduate programmes in the year 2008–09. They were: Undergraduate Programmes • Bachelor of Arts (Chinese Language and Literature) and Bachelor of Education (Chinese Language Education) • Bachelor of Arts (English Studies) and Bachelor of Education (English Language Education) • Double Degree Option in LLB–BSSc (Sociology) • Double Degree Option in BSSc (Sociology)–JD • Minor Programme in Hotel and Tourism Management • Minor Programme in Japanese Culture and Language Postgraduate Programmes • Doctor of Philosophy Programme in Biochemistry (Medicine) • Dual LLM Programme with the American University Washington College of Law • Master of Arts Programme in Chinese Linguistics and Language Acquisition • Master of Arts Programme in Social Policy • Master of Science Programme in Cardiology • Master of Science Programme in Health Education • Master of Philosophy Programme in Biochemistry (Medicine) • Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Global Finance • Postgraduate Certificate Programme in Laws (PCLL) 法律學院及社會學系攜手開辦兩個嶄新的雙學 位課程：法學士—社會科學學士（社會學）雙 學位課程和社會科學學士（社會學）—法律博 士雙學位課程。 社會學系以研究方法嚴謹見稱，法律學院則強 於培訓法律研究技巧、論證及分析能力，修讀 雙學位課程，則可兼而得之。社會學系張越華 教授認為：「擁有法律及社會學專識、兼擅社 會學知識和研究方法、並懂得辨識研究結果優 劣者，將是政府及大機構渴求的人才。」法律 學院本科課程委員會主席 Prof. Scully-Hill亦 稱：「課程設計糅合了知識的廣度及探究的深 度。」 The Faculty of Law and the Department of Sociology jointly offered two new double degree programmes, namely, the Double Degree Option in LLB–BSSc (Sociology) and the Double Degree Option in BSSc (Sociology)–JD. Students of the two programmes can benefit from the rigorous training in research methodology provided by the Sociology Department and the development of skills of legal research, argumentation and analysis by the Faculty of Law. Prof. Cheung Yuet-wah of the Department of Sociology observes, ‘This combination of legal and sociological expertise would function very well in the government or large corporations where sociological knowledge and research methods, the ability to identify good research findings and their implications would contribute to a much higher quality employee.’ Prof. Scully-Hill, chairperson of the Committee on Undergraduate Studies of the Faculty of Law, echoes his view, ‘The programmes offer a breadth of education combined with depth of inquiry.’ 廣知識、深探究 Breadth and Depth Combined
