61 學 生 和 校 友 Students and Alumni 學生 新生入學 二零零八至零九年度，大學教育資助 委員會（教資會）資助課程的新生人數 為四千五百七十二名，計本科生三千 二百七十九名，研究生一千二百九十三 名。此外錄取了四千零六十六名學生入 讀自負盈虧的本科及研究課程。 是年收生再創佳績，錄取了共四成即 一百二十三名在香港高級程度會考（高 考）中考獲三優或更高成績的考生。參 加大學聯合招生辦法（聯招）成績最佳 的一千名學生中，約半數入讀中大。聯 招數字顯示，中大是錄取最多派獲第一 志願及第一組別志願學生的院校。 是年度，中大亦錄取了三百零二名非本 地本科生。他們來自內地二十五個省 市、奧地利、德國、印尼、澳門、馬來西 亞、荷蘭、葡萄牙、南韓、美國及津巴 布韋等。 Students Student Admission A total of 4,572 new students were admitted during the year 2008–09, including 3,279 undergraduate and 1,293 postgraduate students in University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded programmes. In addition, 4,066 students were admitted by self-financed undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In 2008–09, CUHK admitted 123 students (40%) who have received 3As or above in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE). Of the top 1,000 Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) entrants in all of Hong Kong, about half were admitted to CUHK. JUPAS statistics also show that CUHK admitted the largest share of both first choice and Band A JUPAS applicants among all local tertiary institutions.
