45 研 究 Research 文學院 Faculty of Arts 工商管理學院 Faculty of Business Administration 教育學院 Faculty of Education 中國社會的歷史人類學研究 The Historical Anthropology of Chinese Society 這個獲得卓越學科領域計劃資助的研究項目由歷史系科大衛教授領導,旨在復原不同 地方在不同時代被納入國家範疇的過程。研究團隊在中國十五個省區進行田野工作, 記錄有地方特徵的禮儀標籤,如建築的形象、與地方宗教和祖先崇拜有關的文字傳 統、地方神祗故事、村民或和尚道士演繹的鄉村儀式等,藉以重構應用它們的地方制 度。通過比較各地方歷史的時空,自下而上建構一套中國歷史,顯示歷史人類學對瞭解 中國歷史的重要作用。 Led by Prof. David Faure (Department of History), the AoE project studies how local societies were gradually integrated into the Chinese state. Focusing on 15 distinct geographic areas within China, the project will document significant ritual markers (e.g. architectural features related to local religion or ancestral sacrifice, the hagiography of local deities, and lineage-related ceremonies) and reconstruct the history of the local institutions in which they were employed. By comparing the time frame of separate local histories, this project will construct a history of China from the bottom up, while also validating the importance of historical anthropology as an approach to understanding China’s history. 工商研究論文發表 Business Administration Publications 學院研究人員研寫的論文,屢獲權威學術期刊發表:會計學院曾曉亮教授及楊勇教授一 篇有關權益資產與公開企業對社會責任的承擔之關係的論文,獲《會計學評論》刊登; 財務學系王叢教授的論文〈雙種股票公司的代理問題〉,於二零零九年八月的《財務期 刊》發表;酒店及旅遊管理學院周穎剛教授的一篇關於股市及證券市場的偏態情況論 文,在《管理科學》登出;《人格與社會心理學期刊》則刊登了市場學系沈浩教授的一篇 比較不同文化對收取小禮物抗拒程度的論文。 Several young researchers in the Faculty collaborated on a number of important articles that have been accepted or published by top-flight academic journals. The Accounting Review accepted the paper ‘Voluntary Nonfinancial Disclosure and the Cost of Equity Capital: The Initiation of Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting’, by Profs. Albert Tsang and Yang Yong George (School of Accountancy) and others. The paper ‘Agency Problems at Dual-Class Companies’, by Prof. Wang Cong (Department of Finance) and others, was published in August 2009 in The Journal of Finance . The paper ‘Conditional Co-skewness between Stock and Bond Markets: Time Series Evidence’, by Prof. Zhou Yinggang (School of Hotel and Tourism Management) and others, was accepted for publication by Management Science . The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology published the paper ‘Cross-Cultural Differences in the Refusal to Accept a Small Gift: The Differential Influence of Reciprocity Norms on Asians and North Americans’, by Prof. Shen Hao (Department of Marketing). 第四期學生能力國際評估計劃 Fourth Three-Yearly PISA Study 香港教育研究所再獲香港特區政府教育局委託,於是年進行第四期三年一度的「學生 能力國際評估計劃」,邀請就讀於一百五十一所中學近五千名學生進行測試。這項由經 濟合作與發展組織策劃的定期跨國研究,旨在從知識水平、態度和信念方面,評估十五 歲學童是否足已裝備好自己成為有見識公民,了解影響他們生活的因素,並評估及比較 參與地區或國家的教育成效,備受國際重視,二零零九年參與地區或國家達六十五個。 香港自二千年參加這計劃,有關的調查與研究一直由香港教育研究所籌辦。 The Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research (HKIER) was commissioned again by the Education Bureau, HKSAR Government, to conduct the fourth three- yearly Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2009. About 5,000 students from 151 schools were sampled for assessment. Organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the regular international survey, which is gaining importance globally and was participated by 65 countries or economies in 2009, aims at assessing how well 15-year-old students prepare themselves to be informed citizens in terms of literacy performance, attitudes and beliefs, and at exploring factors which affect their lives. It also compares and evaluates the effectiveness of education systems of participating countries. HKIER has been organizing related surveys and research since Hong Kong joined PISA in 2000.
