14 中大金禧慶典 金禧馬拉松隊 為慶祝創校五十周年，中大特別組織金禧 馬拉松隊，逾一千八百名跑手以「中大人， 跑出中大精神」為口號，出戰在 2013 年 2 月 24 日舉行的渣打香港馬拉松。馬拉松隊獲 得不同書院、學系及部門的學生、教職員及 校友熱烈支持，教育學院體育運動科學系 及醫學院矯形外科及創傷學系更運用其專 業知識，為中大隊提供賽前培訓和即場護 理服務。 比賽當天沈祖堯校長親自到場為中大健兒 打氣。醫學院本科畢業生姚潔貞勇奪半馬 拉松賽事女子組總冠軍；體育運動科科學 系助理講師李致和勇奪十公里賽事男子先 進一組冠軍。 「中大五十 • 關懷」計劃 「中大五十 • 關懷」計劃鼓勵全體中大人， 包括師生、職員、校友及友好，貢獻時間、 專業和力量，全年最少為社會義務工作五十 小時，身體力行將關愛由大學傳送至社會 各階層。此計劃的重點工作範疇有五： 環保、兒童、長者、少數族裔及醫療保健。 Fifty years fly by. CUHK turned 50 in 2013. The University held the ‘CUHK 50th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony • Walkathon and Carnival’ on 27 January 2013, initiating an exciting assortment of programmes spanning the whole year. Golden Jubilee Marathon Team To celebrate its golden jubilee, CUHK formed its first- ever marathon team to take part in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2013 on 24 February. With the slogan ‘Let’s run for CUHK’, the CUHK Golden Jubilee Marathon Team, consisting of more than 1,800 runners, received enthusiastic support from students, staff and alumni from different Colleges, departments and offices. Members of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, Faculty of Education and Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Faculty of Medicine also showed their support by providing pre-event training courses and on-site medical care service to the team members. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung cheered for the runners on site. Members of the team excelled in the race. Among them Yiu Kit-ching, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, won the Women’s Division Half Marathon championship while Lee Chi-wo Daniel, assistant lecturer in the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, became the champion of the 10km Challenge Master I Division.
