CUHK 50th Anniversary 19 金禧無止橋 在 2013 年 4 月 30 日至 5 月 7 日，一群中大建築 學院和賽馬會公共衞生及基層醫療學院的 師生，由建築學院吳恩融教授帶領，聯同北 京大學、西安交通大學、史丹福大學及牛津 大學的義工，前赴甘肅省隴南市徽縣黨政 村，修建香港中文大學金禧無止橋。 黨政村村民散居麻沿河兩岸，村內學童每 天靠一條搖搖欲墜的簡陋木橋渡河上學。 每年汛期水漲，木橋更會被大水沖掉。 為了令村民能安全渡河，來自五所大學的師 生特遠道而來修建永久便橋。義工分為施 工組、後勤組和民生組，在逗留黨政村的 八天裏，除了修橋外，還到學校教導學生健 康衞生知識，又到村內和附近的市集為村 民做健康檢查，派發救災包和推廣防災知 識。賽馬會公共衞生及基層醫療學院師生 還舉辦名為「黨政村健康美麗家園」的廢 物收集活動，發動當地學生到村內的垃圾 點清理垃圾。 香港中文大學金禧無止橋在 5 月 7 日竣工， 由校長沈祖堯與北京大學副教務長吳寶科 教授等主持開幕典禮。 CUHK Golden Jubilee Wu Zhi Qiao From 30 April to 7 May 2013, CUHK volunteers from the School of Architecture and the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of CUHK went to Dangzheng Village in Gansu’s Longnan City with their counterparts from Peking University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Stanford University and Oxford University to build a bridge for the villagers. Initiated by Prof. Edward Ng of the School of Architecture, this bridge building project is named the ‘CUHK Golden Jubilee Wu Zhi Qiao’. The villagers of Dangzheng Village live on the banks of Mayan River. Children have to cross the river every day to go to school. The log bridge they used was shaky and was repeatedly washed away by heavy river flow during the rainy season. Volunteers from the five universities arrived at the village to build a permanent footbridge. They were divided into three teams for construction, logistics and community services. They also taught health-related knowledge at a local school, did simple physical check-ups for the villagers, sent disaster supply kits to the villagers and promoted disaster preparedness among them.
