This technology enables viewers to watch images with high-quality visual effects with ordinary 3D display devices. It has a wide range of applications, including 3D movies, games, and other digital visual entertainment applications. Hong Kong Sign Language Browser The Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies (CSLDS) of the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages launched the Hong Kong Sign Language Browser on 23 January 2013, which is the first comprehensive online database of Hong Kong Sign Language (HKSL). The browser was funded by the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the HKSAR as a public education activity on rehabilitation. HKSL Browser is an online platform devoted to the recording of lexical signs and their background information, including frequency of usage, users’ age distributions, origin of the signs, etc. There are about 1,100 HKSL lexical items in the database and it will be continuously enriched and updated by the CSLDS. The database also includes videos of demonstrations and lexical variations used by different deaf organizations. The browser is aimed at promoting HKSL to the public and supporting sign language related activities, such as deaf education and sign interpretation, as to meet the needs of the deaf community. Prof. Wong Tien-tsin and Dr. Yang Xuan
