Development Milestones 49 大學特以利定昌先生之先嚴利榮傑先生 尊諱命名中心，以答謝利氏家族的慷慨 資助。中心位於香港眼科醫院四樓，佔地 一千一百平方米，配備先進的診斷及培訓器 材，有助香港發展成為亞太區首屈一指的 眼科培訓及教育中心，推動臨床訓練及學 術研究。 深圳公共衞生及基層醫療研究所 賽馬會公共衞生及基層醫療學院於中大深 圳研究院設立公共衞生及基層醫療研究所 （深圳），作為該院之外展單位，以深化學 院在全國的公共衞生和基層醫療之研究、 教育及知識轉移的工作。 研究所開幕儀式於 2013 年 2 月 25 日舉行，典 禮後隨即召開了珠三角公共衞生協作與發 展論壇，以及 2013 年國家自然科學基金申 請經驗分享會。出席者逾六十人，包括知內 地名公共衞生專家和公共衞生學院院長、 深圳衞生局和疾病預防及控制中心主管領 導，以及學院師生代表。 Sciences; and Prof. Tham Chee-yung Clement, director, CUHK Eye Centre. Officiating at the ceremony included Mrs. Nancy Lee; Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Prof. Fok Tai-Fai, dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Leung Pak-yin, Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority. The centre was named after the late Mr. Lee Wing-kit in recognition of the generous support from the Lee family to the University. Located on the fourth floor of the Hong Kong Eye Hospital and spanning an area of around 1,100 sq.m., the centre is equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic diagnostic and training facilities. It will serve as a hub in advanced ophthalmic training, education and research in the Asia- Pacific region. Centre of Public Health and Primary Care in Shenzhen The CUHK Centre for Public Health and Primary Care (Shenzhen), an outreach institution of the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, has been set up at the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute (SZRI) to strengthen the school’s research, education and knowledge transfer in public health and primary care on the mainland. The opening ceremony of the centre took place on 25 February 2013 at the SZRI. A Symposium on Collaboration and Opportunities in Public Health in the Pearl Delta Region and a meeting for previewing the school’s 2013 applications for the Natural Science Foundation of China was also organized. The event was attended by over 60 guests, including renowned public health experts, deans of prestigious schools of public health, senior officers of the Shenzhen Health Bureau and the Shenzhen Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as faculty members and student representatives from the school.
