t 為中國偏遠村落 興建橋樑 Building bridges in remote villages in mainland China I • CARE Lauded by the QAC The 2015 Quality Assurance Council (QAC) report held up the I • CARE programme as ‘a successful formalized approach to whole-person development’. Through the programme, the University aims to promote students’ whole-person development by encouraging social and civic engagement in Hong Kong, mainland China, and overseas countries. Students can participate in activities including service projects, social enterprises, and NGO internships. The QAC, under the aegis of the UGC, regularly reviews the education programmes offered by UGC-funded institutions. Below are highlights of the activities sponsored by I • CARE during the year under review: • In the summer of 2016, the I • CARE Wu Zhi Qiao Team comprising 13 CUHK students cooperated with Sichuan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology to build two bridges and hygiene facilities for remote villages in Sichuan and Guizhou. 質素保證局嘉許博群計劃 質素保證局 2015 年度報告讚揚博群 計劃「促進學生全人發展,並將之 定作常規模式,行之有效」。中大藉 博群計劃提倡全人教育,引領同學 在香港、內地、海外等地參與社會 服務,學習社企營運,以及在非政府 組織作見習生。質素保證局隸屬教 資會,定期審核教資會資助大學的 課程。 以下為博群計劃在 2015 至 16 年度活 動之例子: • 2016 年夏季,由十三名中大同學 組成的博群無止橋團隊,與四川 大學、西安交通大學和西安建築 科技大學合作,為四川和貴州偏 遠村落興建橋樑和衞生設施。 17 篤學能養志 樂育可樹人 Education—Nourishing Minds and Building Character
