‘Power Shuttle’ Victory ‘Power Shuttle’, a team formed by students of the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, was crowned champion of the ‘Robocon 2016 Hong Kong Contest’ held at Science Park. The theme of the competition was ‘Clean Energy Recharging the World’. The team subsequently represented Hong Kong in the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2016 held at Bangkok in August 2016. Outstanding Students Received Helix Scholarship Thirteen students were presented with Helix Scholarships in recognition of their academic performance and all-round development in a ceremony in January 2016. The scholarship was established in 2015 to recognize students who excel in academic pursuits and extra-curricular activities. Outstanding Students Awarded Hong Kong Scholarships Among the first cohort of Hong Kong Scholarships for Excellence Scheme recipients were 12 CUHK students, who would receive financial support for their further studies in world-renowned universities abroad. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic performance, leadership, and commitment to Hong Kong. 「巧奪天工」勝出 機械與自動化工程學系同學組成 「巧奪天工」隊伍，於科學園舉行的 「全港大專生機械人大賽」勝出。該 比賽以使用再生能源為主題。「巧 奪天工」代表香港於 2016 年 8 月參加 泰國曼谷舉行的「亞太廣播聯盟機 械人大賽」。 高材生獲環亞系統獎學金 十三名品學兼優中大學生於 2016 年 1 月獲頒環亞系統獎學金。該獎學金 於 2015 年設立，旨在獎勵學業成績 優秀及踴躍參加課外活動的學生。 傑出學生獲授香港卓越 獎學金 十二名中大生受益於首屆香港卓越 獎學金計劃，將負笈海外知名學府 進修。該獎學金由香港政府頒發，得 獎人必須學業成績出眾，具領導能 力，並願意服務香港。 25 篤學能養志 樂育可樹人 Education—Nourishing Minds and Building Character
