Prof. Chu Ming- chung, principal investigator in the Daya Bay Neutrino Experiment, is leading a team that designs and builds subsystems for detector monitoring, background measurement and data acquisition of the Experiment. Their work has contributed to the most precise measurement and record of subatomic energy spectrum published up to this stage. Lifting the Veil on Gravitational Waves Young and promising, Prof. Tjonnie G.F. Li (photo below) is already a member, the first from Hong Kong, of a Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) project that detected and proved the existence of the elusive gravitational waves first hypothesized by Einstein. CUHK Annual Report 2015–2016
