p 伍美琴教授 Prof. Ng Mee-kam u 呂榮聰博士（上） Prof. Michael Lyu (upper) 黃建偉教授（下） Prof. Huang Jianwei (lower) International Acclaim for Urban Planning Paper Prof. Ng Mee-kam of the Department of Geography and Resource Management won the AESOP Best Published Paper Award 2015 of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP). Her paper used the cases of the Graham and Peel Street Market in Hong Kong and the Treasure Hill in Taipei to analyze the role and influence of different ways of thinking on the urban renewal plans of these two districts. Membership of Prestigious Professional Societies Other CUHK scholars entered their names onto the honorary rolls of their respective professional societies. Among these, Prof. Michael R. Lyu of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was elected a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery. Prof. Huang Jianwei of the Department of Information Engineering was elected a Fellow of the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. With the installation of Professor Lyu and Professor Huang, the numbers of CUHK fellows in these organizations were brought up to four and 31, respectively. 都市規劃論文獲國際讚譽 地理與資源管理學系伍美琴教授獲 歐洲規劃院校聯合會頒發「 2015 年 最佳論文獎」。伍教授的獲獎論文以 香港嘉咸街和卑利街街市，以及台 北寶藏巖為案例，探討不同的知識 分子，在兩地重建計劃中發揮的作 用和影響力。 專業學術組織院士 另有一些中大學者獲其專業組織選 為成員，拔群出萃，獲計算機器學會 頒授院士的計算機科學與工程學系 呂榮聰教授就是其中之一。信息工程 學系黃建偉教授則獲工程學國際權 威組織電機及電子工程師學會頒授 2016 年度院士榮銜。呂教授和黃教 授獲選後，這兩個組織的中大院士 分別增至四位和三十一位。 34 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2015–2016
