Annual Report 2015–16

The CUHK Strategic Plan 2016–2020 has laid down goals and strategies for building on our current research strengths and capabilities to further promote interdisciplinary research excellence in the next five years. Four major research areas have been identified, namely, China Studies, Translational Medicine, Information and Automation Technology, and Environment and Sustainability. The roadmap has been drawn and it is expected that, with the better deployment of talents and allocation of resources and incorporating the University’s uniquely distinctive perspectives from the humanities, social sciences, science and technology, it will foster a comprehensive multidimensional approach to address some of the most pressing technological, social and ethical issues facing humanity today. 《香港中文大學策略計劃 2016 – 2020 》制訂本校未來五年的目標和 策略，以在現有研究實力和優勢的 基礎上，令跨學科研究更上層樓。策 略計劃定出四大研究範疇─中國研 究、轉化醫學、資訊與自動化科技、 環境與持續發展。我們已制訂了實 施方案，期盼能更有效運用人才和 調度資源，並結合大學在人文學科、 社會科學、科技方面的優勢，以全面 和多方位的取向，應對迫在眉睫的 科技、社會和倫理問題。 新的路線圖 A New Roadmap 40 香港中文大學年報 CUHK Annual Report 2015–2016
