t 呂志和博士（左二） 及夫人（右二） Dr. Lui Che-woo (2nd left) and Mrs. Lui (2nd right) Lui Che Woo Distinguished Young Scholars Award With the US$2 million donation from Dr. Lui Che-woo, Founder and Chairman of K. Wah Group, through the LUI Che Woo Charity, the University set up the Lui Che Woo Distinguished Young Scholars Award in May 2016. The endowment will sponsor medical students who aspire to develop a career in medical research and to further their studies abroad, and who will, upon completion of their studies, return to serve the Hong Kong community. CMA Global Internship Fund The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA)’s donation to the University has led to the establishment of the CMA Global Internship Fund, which will enable 50 CUHK students more to benefit from overseas internship opportunities through the Global Internship Programme each year. In June 2016, the University named Lecture Theatre 2 of the Yasumoto International Academic Park as ‘CMA Lecture Theatre’ in appreciation of CMA’s generosity. Sin Fung Ming Items Donated by the Yam Pak Charitable Foundation The Yam Pak Charitable Foundation officially donated to the University Library in June 2016 a collection of items of the Sin Fung Ming opera troupe. Comprising 6,000-plus valuable items such as opera stills, libretti and personal photos of the Sin Fung Ming opera troupe, the collection will be instrumental in facilitating the study and preservation of Hong Kong’s cultural heritage. 呂志和卓越青年學者 獎勵計劃 嘉華集團主席及創辦人呂志和博士 透過 LUI Che Woo Charity 捐資二百 萬美元，於 2016 年 5 月成立「呂志和 卓越青年學者獎勵計劃」，頒發獎學 金給有志進修科研的中大醫科生，資 助他們到海外攻讀研究生課程，學 成後回港進行教學、科研及臨床工 作，回饋社會。 廠商會寰宇實習基金 香港中華廠商聯合會慷慨捐款予 中大成立「廠商會寰宇實習基金」， 支持學生參與「寰宇暑期實習計 劃」，預計每年將額外惠及近五十 名學生。大學特於 2016 年 6 月將位於 康本國際學術園二號演講廳命名為 「廠商會演講廳」。 任白慈善基金捐贈 仙鳳鳴物品 任白慈善基金於 2016 年 6 月正式把 「任劍輝白雪仙藏品」捐贈予大學圖 書館。該批珍藏包括仙鳳鳴劇團歷 屆演出之劇照、劇本、生活照等凡六 千多項，對香港粵劇的研究、保育和 傳承，極具參考價值。 49 百川滙學海 涓滴傾社群 Community Outreach and Engagement—Forging Ties Near and Far
