D r . Ch a ng has w r i t t e n two books: “The Romantic Poets” and ''The Great English Prose Writers'', and has published ma ny essays. Dr. Tchang Pi-kai, New Asia College, Economics D r . T c h a n g, on e of the founders of N ew Asia College, has been Head of the De p a r t me n t of Economics of the College since 1950. He graduated f r o m the Un i v e r s i ty o f F r e i b u rg w i t h a P h . D. degree in 1934. Befor e his arrival in H o n g K o n g, he taught at the Provincia l N a n t u ng College, the Na t i o n al No r t hwe st Ag r i c u l t u r al College, the National Central Political Un i v e r s i ty and th e Na t i o n al K w e i - chow Un i v e r s i t y. He travelled extensively in Ch i na to study the economic and lan d problems. I n 1964, he was offered a visiting professorship by the Un i v e r s i ty of M a r b u rg t o lecture on economic policy in the Far East. D r . LECTURERS In the order of availability of their biographies Dr. Yunshen Bau, New Asia College, Biology D r . Bau graduated f r om the National T a i wan University i n 1953 and j o i n ed the Institut e of Botany, Academia Sinica as an assistant. I n 1961 and 1963 he received his M . S . and P h . D. degrees respectively f r om the Un i v e r s i ty of Wisconsin. D r . Bau has been a Lecturer in Biology at New Asia College since 1963. He studie d at the I n s t i t u te for Ag r i c u l t u r al Research, T o h o ku Un i v e r s i t y, Japa n i n the s ummer of 1964. Dr. N.N. Chan, United College, Mathematics D r . Chan was b o rn i n H o n g K o n g, graduated f r om Peking Un i v e r s i t y , and went on for research and advanced studies in mathematical statistics a t the Un i v e r s i ty of L i v e r p o o l, where he was granted a P h . D . degree in 1963. I n th e same year, he was appointed as Lecturer in statistics in the De p a r t me nt of Mathematics of the Un i v e r s i ty o f Newcastle-upon- T y n e, England. I n Au g u st 1964, D r . Chan j o i n ed the U n i t ed College as L e c t u r er in mathematics. He i s a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and his wo rk in Statistics includes a paper "On Circular Functional Relationships" (1965), published in the Journal of th e Society. Mr. Lien-sheng Chuang, Chung Chi College, Physics. M r , Ch u a ng was b o rn in T a i wa n, and graduated f r om the T a i w an N o r m al Un i v e r s i ty in 1950. A f t er graduation he wo r k ed there as a laboratory assistant for t wo years. He wa s awarded a scholarship by the U S State De p a r t me nt in 1952 for graduat e study in physics in America.
