N . H . Yo u n g, Academic Registrar. A f t er an exchange of views on university education w i t h the College authorities, the visitors were shown r o u nd the College campus. • T he U n i t ed Colleg e invited M r . Brian K . K . Yu, Personnel Manager of Shell Comp a n y of H o n g Ko n g, to conduct a seminar to the teaching staff of the College on the Britis h T u t o r i al System at the College on Au g u st 13. M r . Y u described the system by recalling his own experience as a f o rmer student a t the Cambridge University and commented on the pro's an d con's of it. Mo r e than fifty members of staff of the College attended the seminar d u r i ng wh i ch M r . Y u answered questions raised by members of staff of the College. • M r . L i m Kee-chin, Chairma n of the T u n g Wa h G r o up of Hospitals, accompanied by 15 Principal Directors and Directors, visited U n i t ed College, o n Au g u st 12, 1965. A reception was held in th e College Conference Ro om w i t h i n f o r mal discussion. • Professor A . G. Walker of the University of L i v e r p o o l, External Examiner of T h e Chinese University i n Mathematics, visited N ew Asia College and U n i t ed College in June, 1965. • Professor S . H . Chan of the University of California and Ho n o r a ry Fellow of the N ew Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies an d Research, visited the College and had l u n ch w i t h D r . T . C. O u on June 16 , 1965. • On June 27, 1965, Professor Ralph Falconeri of the De p a r t me nt of Chinese H i s t o ry at the Un i v e r s i ty of Oregon, and D r . K . S. L i a ng of the St. John's Un i v e r s i ty in the U n i t ed States, visited N ew Asia and gave a talk on the method s of studying H i s t o ry at the N ew Asia Institut e of Advanced Chinese Studies and Research. • M r . S. L . Wo n g, Lecturer of Sociology at C h u ng Ch i College, was in T o k y o , Japan f r om the 14th to 20th of September to attend the 9th International Seminar on Fam i ly Research as a representativ e of H o n g K o n g. 11
