Δ A F o rum on “ Chinese Newspaper and Periodical E d itin g and O ther P rob lem s" was held at U n ite d College on 18th N ovem ber under the sponsorship o f the College Students U n io n . T h e speakers at the F o rum were M r . P .M . Yam , P ublisher, China Review W eekly and E d ito r, the Express ； M r, Cheng Y u -lan g , E d ito r-in - Chief, Sing T ao Jih Pao; M r. N g B a r-ling , E d ito r, Wah K iu Y at Po and M r. M .I). Leung, C h ie f Reporter, K u n g Sheung D a ily News, w ith M r. W ong Y u-hang, Academ ic M em b e r o f the Executive C omm ittee o f the Students U n io n , in the chair. Δ large gathering o f students attended the F o rum and benefited m uch from the educative talks on jo u rn a lis tic experiences and techniques. T h e talks, followed by questions and answers, lasted fo r over three hours, A T h e Folk Song N ig h t o f the N ew Asia M u s ic C lub , w h ich was held on 25th November, included guest performances by T ang K in g Po School, W ong T a i Sin C om m u n ity Centre and W ah Yan College as w e ll as songs by students o f N ew Asia College. Δ On 26th N ovem ber New Asia College S tudent U n io n had its S tudent Day w ith a programme consisting o f matches, song requests, choral singing, performance by the w in n e r o f the melodrama com petition, dinner and dance. Δ T h e Depa rtm ental C lub o f the Philosophy D e pa rtm ent o f N ew Asia College had its firs t seminar on 26th Novem ber, w ith M r. Lee T ie n -m in g 's paper on "T h e D e fin itio n o f P h ilo soph y" and M r. Chung Shiu w ing 's paper on " T h e Developm ent o f Western E p istem ology". Δ A t the A n n ua l A u tum n O u tin g o f the Chinese C h ristian U n iversities A lu m n i Association, held at Chung C h i College on 12th Novem ber, 2 cheques for $1,000 each were presented to Chung C h i College and Baptist College respectively by M r. Y .K . Lee, the Chairm an, on beha lf o f the Association. T h e p rogramme included w orship service, stall games, band performance, stunts, fo lk dance, skits and bu ffe t lunch. Δ T h e staff o f the Chung C h i L ib ra ry took members o f the H ong K o n g L ib ra ry Association on a to u r o f the ir lib ra ry and in v ite d them to tea at the staff club on 11th Novem ber, when they went to the college fo r the ir autum n ou ting . A barbecue was held at the College S tadium in the evening.
