International Conference of Philosophy on Harmony/Strife An International Conference of Philosophy on Harmony/Strife, jointly organized by the Department of Philosophy and the Goethe Institut, was held at the University from 11th to 16th March, 1985. The Conference focused on the ideas of harmony and strife and the development of culture. Attending the Conference were about fifty scholars from many parts of the world, including America, Australia, Germany, Japan, Beijing, Taipei and Hong Kong.
