Chung Chi College started its re lig ious education and theo log ica l training programme in 1957. It has its ow n Chaplaincy Office to promote re lig ious activities, w h ich include college as semblies, Sunday worship services and Christian fellow ship programmes. Academic and cultural activities regularly organized include seminars, college life luncheon talks, annual edu cation conferences, and the Siu Lien Ling Wong V isiting Fellows Programme. Stu dents are also encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities organized by the college student union, departmental societies, class societies, and various interest groups and student hostel associations. N e w A s ia C o l New Asia College was founded in 1949 by the late Dr. Ch'ien Mu and a small group o f scholars from China. The college aspires to preserve traditional Chinese culture and to balance it w ith Western learning so that students may understand their cultural heritage and at the same time be capable o f coping w ith the challenges o f modern life.
