T h e E m e r g i n g U n i v e r s i t y 1970 - 74 A U n ifie d Campus Up to 1972 the three foundation colleges w ere separated b y distances ranging from five to 15 m iles over congested roads and the V icto ria Harbour. W ith the com p le tio n o f n ew buildings on the Sha T in campus, United College m oved to its present premises in 1972 and N ew Asia College in 1973. A u n ifie d campus made possible the in teg ra tion o f the various functions o f the g row in g university. New Fa c u lty o f Business A d m in ­ is tra tio n Undergraduate education con tinued to expand , and new programm es in education, gove rnm en t and p u b lic adm inistration and biochem istry were in tro d u ce d in this period. The num be r o f divisions in the Graduate School also increased from five in 1966 to 14 in 1974. A no the r major deve lopm en t was the establishment o f a new Faculty o f Business A dm inistration in 1974 to poo l resources fo r business adm inistration studies in the University. The Lingnan Institute o f Business A dm in istra tion established in 1966 to p ro vide post graduate studies in the discip line was also subsumed unde r the n ew faculty.
