Photos by courtesy of Ming Pao Daily News Accountancy Graduates Top HKSA/ACCA Exams The Hong Kong Society of Accountants announced the results of the HKSA / ACCA joint examinations held in December 1994 i n the May/June 1995 issue of The Prospective Accountant: The Students' Journal of the Hong Kong Society ofAccountants. The top students for the four non-exemptible papers in the profession stage examination s were all CUHK professional accountancy graduates. The joint examinations consist of 14 papers. The CU professional accountancy graduates are exempted from 10 of these, which is the maximum possible exemption given by the society . 1994 graduates Ms. Sham Heung-Wah and Ms. Karen Ng Man-yee came out tops in papers 10H ('H' indicating Hong Kong variance) 'Accounting and Audit Practice' and 11H ' Tax Planning' respectively; 1993 graduate Ms. Choy Siu-ching and 1991 graduate Ms. Poon Hung-ling were the top scorers in paper 13H 'Financial Reportin g Environment', while 1993 graduate Ms. Janet Chan Kit-man scored the highest in paper 14 'Financial Strategy' . This is indeed a matter of pride for the School of Accountancy, and deserves kudos . CUHK Students Do the Varsity Proud 7
